Guitar Hero 2

Ever wanted to be a Guitar Hero? Then Guitar Hero 2 might be just what you’re looking for.

Guitar Hero 2 is a music rhythm that allows you to shred to your favorite music from the comfort of your own home. Guitar Hero 2 can be played with your standard Xbox 360 control or the xplorer guitar that comes with the game bundle. The idea of the game is to play along to coloured notes that will come towards you on the screen by holding down the colour or colours on your guitar and strumming in time with the music along with a few little tricks you can learn with a bit of practice, one being hammer ons where you can strum one note and hammer on the rest without strumming again and another being pull offs which is the same as a hammer on but pulling off the notes rather than hammering on. It’s not quite as easy as it sounds but with practice anybody can learn this game.

Guitar Hero 2 will have you playing to some of the hottest bands on earth including Guns And Roses, Iron Maiden, Nirvana, Deep Purple, Buckethead and many more. The game will start off with songs that are rather slow and easy to complete, but as you progress further through the game you will find yourself playing much faster and tougher songs.

A great thing about this game is that it is sure to have a difficulty for everybody. You can start off playing easy which will require you to use only three out of five buttons with no real tough button combinations. Then you can step up to medium which will have you using four buttons with a few tough combinations but nothing too bad. Next up is hard, this is where it gets tricky, you will use all five buttons and have some rather awkward button combinations. Last but not least, expert, this is where it gets insane, all five buttons and the craziest button combinations imaginable. Any time you beat a song on any difficulty you will be awarded a star rating out of five depending on your score and difficulty. You will earn money for each song you complete, the higher the star rating, the more cash you make. Use the cash you earn to buy all sorts of things from the shop including, new guitars, new characters, new outfits, new songs and much more.

To conclude i’d have to say this game was a bit hard to get used to but when you do get the hang of it it’s very addictive. This game is not only great fun but it has many hours of game play and will have you rockin’ for hours on end. Great game!

Strike 3 For The Xbox 360

Last night I was unlucky enough for my good old Xbox 360 to break down for the third time in less than two years. OK, first time I got the nasty RROD or Red Ring Of Death as it’s known which is three red lights flashing indicating a hardware problem, Second time the power supply went, And finally strike three, Red Ring Of Death again. This is a huge problem with the Xbox 360 and I’m surprised it still happens to be honest. I’ll give Microsoft credit for extending the warranty for any repairs to be made relating to this issue but it’s still rather annoying having to ship away your Xbox and wait for them to fix it. Oh, and giving you a one month Xbox Live credit is a good move as it makes up for any time you’ve lost while your console is away being fixed. I really hope this is the last time I have to send my console away but i’m sad to say i’m losing my confidence in Microsoft.

Guitar Hero 3 Dragonforce DLC

Some time in August we can expect a Dragonforce track pack for Guitar Hero 3! This has to be the best news on DLC imaginable as Dragonforce could only bring the most insane button mashing to GH3! The songs to be included in this track pack are “Operation Ground and Pound” and “Revolution Deathsquad” from their album “Inhuman Rampage” along with the song “Heroes of Our Time” from their newest album “Ultra Beatdown”. This track pack will be HUGE!

New Guitar Hero 3 DLC

The latest Guitar Hero 3 “guitar virtuoso” DLC is now available and is by far the best track pack to come out so far! This track pack features Buckethead, an artist we’ve all wanted to see in guitar hero 3 for a long time. The pack contains 3 new songs that are all in their own way quite challenging making it well worth the money!

Call Of Duty 5

Call Of Duty 5 is now in development and so shortly after the release of Call Of Duty 4.

There isn’t a great deal of information availible on Call Of Duty 5 but there is a video on xbox live that you can check out. I belive the game is still in the very early production stage due to the video showing you no actual gameplay footage.

I’ll bring you the latest news as it becomes availible.

Guitar Hero 4 Song Creation

To be honest i have no idea at this point how the song creation is going to work on Guitar Hero 4, There are many rumours going around and I’m not real sure what’s true and what’s not. I’ll try my hardest to find out how it really does work and let you know.

Guitar Hero 3 Wireless Guitar Issues

I have noticed a few people searching wordpress for information on guitar hero 3′s wireless guitar, and why the fret buttons don’t work sometimes. I hope this information helps you because i have the exact same problem with my wireless guitar.

First, the reason the fret buttons do not work is due to a bad connection where the neck of the guitar plugs into the body. The frets not working can happen at any time when playing and be very annoying to say the least, but I’m here to offer you a solution that should get you by without going all out and using glue on the connection.

If you disconnect the neck of the guitar from the body you should be able to slide some paper in to the body of the guitar and plug the neck back in. By doing this the guitar should fit together with a much better connection and make it alot harder for the neck to move around. This solution is not going to “fix” your guitar, but it should make this problem go away, though you may occasionally have to change the paper or adjust the connection .

Guitar Hero 4 has been announced at last. This is very exciting news for all those hardcore GH fans! Guitar Hero 4 is going in a whole new direction by having not only a guitar but a drum kit and mic as well. This game has the potential to blow Rock Band off the map if they do it correctly because GH4 has a few great new features Rock Band is missing, one being song creation, and two being 4vs4 online play, Great i know! This title had sucked me in at the mention of guitar hero because you can always count on them for a quility game that’ll give you a challenge. I’ll keep you updated with the latest news on Guitar Hero 4 on my games review web site.
